Link across Chesterton Road between Hawthorn Way and De Freville Rd, leading down to the river.
There is pelican crossing here, soon to be upgraded to a toucan, that puts cyclists onto the pavement cycle track on the left.
Many people, like this man, prefer to remain in the road as it is quicker and more direct than using the pavement provision. This must be the way to go on Chesteron Road, which has ample width for 2m wide cycle lanes.
