Who needs segregation ?
Excellent cycle route across Parkers Piece, no segregation which means people can use their common sense rather than being herded into places where they do not fit.
Plenty of width + plenty of visibility = no conflict.
In the morning rush it is busy enough with people walking and cycling that a seperate footway would be a benefit to make passing easier and more comfortable for everybody. But hey, what's the rush, slow down, enjoy the morning air and the sociable buzz from crossing this beautiful city on foot or by bike.
