Gate blocking the cycleway across Parker's Piece - stupid and annoying.
How ridiculous to expect all cyclists to get through that narrow gap. And if this gate is to stop vehicles getting onto the green space, well it has clearly failed.
Having said that though I had seen workmen walking with a trailer onto the centre of the Piece to collect the fencing associated with the CambridgeOnIce event and maybe the vehicle was to do with hauling the trailer.
But that does not explain why that necessitated closing this gate!
