EA52 YSU parked in the contraflow cycle lane at the eastern end of Bateman Street. Note how that single yellow line ends in line with the traffic island; could the restriction not start a few metres further east of the island? I've also had a look on Google Street View, whose photography is alrightly recent---the signs dictating the single yellow line's purpose had/have been removed. Not sure if they've been replaced since (the Street View photography was taken; the development in the site to the left of this picture certainly has ... developed).
