Double trouble on Bateman Street, with a cyclist approaching in the contraflow cycle lane, about to move out in the face of oncoming motor vehicles. Will we ever have wands or other segregation here?

  • Icon 184053 The junction of Priory Lane and Clarence Lane is so dangerous with cars doing anything to overtake cyclists within metres of the junction, and then immediately braking and turning left into Clarence Lane. Similarly, alot of cars don't gauge the speed of cyclists (which increases because of the decline leading down to Richmond Park) and pull out of Clarence Lane often resulting in near misses. More effective traffic calming measures need to be installed leading up to the junction or a dedicated cycle path (which stops ~100m before)
  • Icon 183911 Improve roundabout underpasses to conform to Dutch standards / LTN1/20 - they should be easier to access, direct and well lit to prevent antisocial behaviour.
  • Icon 183910 Junction tricky to navigate if making right turns due to steep incline. Protected tiger crossing should be considered.
  • Icon 183909 Barriers poorly designed block access for cycles, cargo bikes and wheelchairs.
  • Icon 183908 Barriers (prison railings) blocking the path, extremely difficult for wheelchair users to pass.
